A clear lifecycle, not an absolute promise

Disappearing applies to GPTAnon’s session state. The selected provider remains a separate boundary, so the honest explanation matters more than a blanket claim that nothing is retained anywhere.

Browser session

Your question and visible answers exist in the active browser session. Choose 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or until you clear.

GPTAnon service

GPTAnon routes the request without adding it to a saved server-side conversation history. Operational records and abuse controls are separate from chat content.

OpenRouter and selected provider

OpenRouter routes the prompt to the selected provider. Both services process it under their own retention, training, and safety policies.

Clear boundary

When the timer expires or you clear the session, GPTAnon removes its local conversation state. That does not erase provider-side records.

Does disappearing chat erase a provider's copy?

No. The selected model provider still processes the prompt and may retain it under its own policy. Review the provider disclosure before sending and avoid unnecessary identifying details.

Can I recover a cleared conversation?

No. Clearing removes the GPTAnon session state; there is no GPTAnon server-side conversation archive to restore. Provider-side handling is separate.
