Our Core Promise

GPTAnon is built on data minimization. GPTAnon does not add your conversations with AI models to a saved server-side chat history. Prompt content is processed by the selected routing and model providers to generate each response, under their own privacy policies.

What We Collect

Anonymous users: We derive an anonymous wallet identity from the request IP to enforce the free tier allowance (10 credits per UTC month). This record is not linked to conversation content.

Registered users: We store the username you choose, an optional email address, and your subscription status. We do not require a real name or phone number.

Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. GPTAnon stores the minimum account and subscription records needed to provide paid access. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to payment data.

Support messages: If you contact us via our support form, we store your message and optional email. These are only accessible to GPTAnon administrators and are never shared.

What We Never Do

• ✗ Add your AI conversations to a saved server-side chat history
• ✗ Treat provider terms as if they were GPTAnon terms
• ✗ Promise zero data retention, no tracking, or no training for endpoints with separate policies
• ✗ Present Tiptoe as the path for ordinary model requests
• ✗ Hide the selected provider or current policy source before sending

Third-Party Services

GPTAnon routing, OpenRouter, and selected providers: GPTAnon processes prompt content to route the request and return the answer. OpenRouter and the selected model provider receive the content needed to generate the answer and apply their own privacy policies. GPTAnon account identity is not sent as part of the model request. GPTAnon still keeps the account and usage records needed to operate the service. The selected provider and its privacy label are shown before you send. Provider terms can vary by endpoint and change over time.

Stripe: Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's privacy policy. GPTAnon keeps the account and subscription records needed to provide paid access.

MIT Tiptoe private web search: Private web search uses MIT Tiptoe. It is separate from ordinary model requests; review the Tiptoe research for its documented threat model and assumptions.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use a minimal session cookie to keep you logged in between visits. Any local chat state is stored in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Your Rights

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us via the support form. Upon deletion, we remove your username, email, and subscription record from our database. Because GPTAnon does not maintain a saved server-side chat history, there is no GPTAnon chat history to delete.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle data in a way that reduces your privacy, we will notify registered users by email and post a prominent notice on this page. We will never retroactively change data practices without your consent.
